How sustainable is your data center?

During a free one-hour webinar on June 10 and 17, 2025, SDCA and SDEA provided participants with practical insights into the SDEA Navigator—a powerful online tool that enables precise and transparent measurement of sustainability and efficiency in data center operations.

From energy consumption and waste heat utilization to the carbon footprint, the Navigator enables operators and managers to easily record, visualize, and compare relevant sustainability metrics. The live demo impressively demonstrated how the tool works in practice and the concrete added value it offers for the operation of a modern data center.

Particularly valuable: as a founding member of the SDEA, SDCA provides all association members with free access to the personal Navigator dashboard. This gives members a sound basis for identifying efficiency potential – and an effective lever on the path to a more sustainable data center strategy.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants shows that there is great interest in measurable sustainability – and that the Navigator has come at just the right time.
